Mrs. Sushri Wells

Sushri is married with two daughters and two sons.

Born in India Sushri graduated from Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata University. Sushri started her career in hotel management and then took up a position with the British High Commission as a Trade Advisor supporting British companies seeking to enter Indian markets and supporting the companies with appropriate Market Research.

Sushri migrated to the UK in 2001, starting and running her own retail business in Chesterfield for 11 years. Until recently Sushri was employed by Links CVS,Chesterfield as a BME Engagement Coordinator. She was also employed by Links CVS as the Service Development Coordinator for BME Sitting Service (Pilot Project) but resigned recently to devote more time to the Asian Association and Saffron Kitchen. Sushri is also the Trustee of the Asian Association and First Art UK. Sushri is passionate about promoting equality and cultural awareness.

Bio:

I work in Education and mother of three children. I love Singing, dancing , cooking and Socalising.

I have been involved in different projects with AA , such as teaching Indian Classical dance to young Children, working with Saffron Kitchen, Arts and Crafts involving Adults of different age groups in the Luncheon Club.

My other involvement has been actively involved in attending BME meetings, other Cultural Activities and Festivals.

Bio:

Born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya

After schooling at the Dutchess of Gloucester school, Nairobi, completed my Graduation. I came to England in 1985 with my husband and two children and started business in Weston-Super-Mare.-Corner Shop. At the same time went back to University to study Social work.

Joining the Adult Care team at North Somerset Council.

Retired in Dec 2015 and moved to Chesterfield in 2016. Finding Asian Association and moved on to becoming an active member and now a Trustee.

Represented Asian Association as a Board Member at LINKS CVS
